I always love shooting fire especially when handled by amazing performers such as Cynthia. Here are some new fire images I shot with her before I moved to LA. I wasn’t expecting to create such a unique piece of art but I never am when I do any photo shoot. From shoot - post production, there are a lot of factors that go into finding my vision. Once something calls out to me I see where it can go and a new piece of art is born.

I will have a piece in the Rising Stars art show at The Hive Gallery in DTLA. The opening party is Saturday Feb 8 from 8-11 but the show will be up for the whole month. Please come support all the artists participating and get down on all the good vibes. This is one of the longest running galleries in downtown Los Angeles and has had some of the best artists featured from all over the world. I am honored to be apart of the show and this will be my first gallery showing since I have moved to LA. Day for night was unlike any festival I've been to so far. The experience had some the best musical acts out there with top notch, next level installations that were utterly mind blowing! I was constantly running around trying to see/ hear everything through the rain/cold. Non the less I had an amazing time with such a great crew down there all from Austin getting down in H-Town! What an unforgettable weekend, here are some photos of this incredible festival event.

What a great time at Utopiafest 2016! It was my first time and it couldn't have gone any better! My only regret was not taking more photos. Here is what I did capture though while having the time of my life. I do think I witnessed something special during The Deer's performance Saturday during the sunset. To watch watch the sunlight slowly fade into the evolving glow from the stage really set a mood. What incredible energy that was being shared between the band and the audience. It was quite a special moment we shared and I hope I caught a slight glimpse of what it was like. The headliner was Ratatat and my favorite moment was when I we were all hanging out by the campfire passing around an acoustic guitar late that night and he came over to join in. You can’t buy special moments like that, you just have to provide the right environment for magic like that to happen.
Bravo to the Utopia team putting on such a great event. If you are able to make it to one of these festivals I highly recommend you do so. It’s a 3 day camping music festival for all ages. They have plenty of food, live painting artists, and vendors of all kinds to add to the vibes that is Utopiafest.
Euphoria! There were so many amazing artists, bands, people, and DJ’s out last weekend. Everyone was dancing or moving with the music that you could feel the energy and great vibes coursing all around. What a great job by production team, everything was on point! Tons of lasers, projection mapping, and huge LED screens. Tycho was one of my favorite sets the whole weekend. They put on a beautiful performance mixed with animation and stellar lighting that really made for an unforgettable experience.
Chance Roberts, who organized the art gallery, asked me to bring some of my art. I brought 3 pieces with me: Synergy, Between Space And Time, and Sagittarius 6. It was nice to talk and explain my process and hear what others were thinking about it. I'd like to thank Heather for purchasing my Synergy piece and giving it a loving home. Just another BIG thank you Chance Roberts and everyone else who helped out at the gallery. It really means a lot that you guys were there to answer questions and be there for when the artists are not. Thank You Euphoria! It was magical. Hurray! My first blog post. This is for anyone who really wants to follow my journey through all the events, amazing people I meet, and everything that inspires me. Something that is very important in my life is skateboarding. This was a skate competition put on by Element skateboards at House Park in Austin TX called The Best Foot Forward. There was a cash prize and an all expense paid trip to Cali to compete for an element sponsorship. People came from all over to compete and man did bangers go down! One after another, right from the start. 95% of the tricks were first try. No time to miss a beat. I could tell everyone went all out. The winner was the individual in the first 2 photos, Drake Flores. Good luck dude, wish you the best!
